Musical Director

Antony Currington

Antony Currington has been a barbershopper for over 25 years, joining the Harbour Capital Chorus and Wellington quartet The Razor's Edge at the young age of 16. Antony's love of a cappella comes from his upbringing - through his teenage years he was a member of a popular religious a cappella group that was featured regularly throughout New Zealand. He also played in a brass band for 12 years before barbershop took over his life.

Antony began directing the chorus at age 19, and has been the frontline Musical DIrector since. In the time he's been out front, the chorus has celebrated many milestones, including winning a New Zealand national barbershop chorus championship, and performing in a variety of venues across NZ, Australia and Hawaii!

Antony currently sings baritone with Hometown Quartet.

Antony lives in Petone with his lovely wife Carolyn (Musical Director of the Faultline Chorus) and his two kids Max and Rose.
